Use this option to add a Hard Eye Splice to your 3-strand rope (28mm-32mm diameters).

Please use the quantity box to enter the total number of Hard Eye Splices you need.

A Hard Eye Splice is achieved by looping the rope around a steel or nylon thimble and then interweaving the rope strands to make a secure join. The thimble reinforces the 'eye' or loop.

The thimbles and their measurements can be seen here (our thimbles are also sold loose for DIY fitting).

Hard Eye Splices are usually used in industrial and marine settings, for example when another rope is running through the eye and creating friction. In domestic settings a Soft Eye Splice may be more suitable.

Wanted a very strong fixing for my heavy weight sled to assist me in my training. This is proving to be a brilliant attachment.. Very strong indeed. I can attach my 32mm Manila rope with the hard eye splice directly onto the D-Shackle that is on my sled. So far pulls 150KG with no problems at all.
